Immerse yourself in visual storytelling that extends beyond theater walls to expand the possibilities of cinema. Look for film installations flickering under glass, follow your nose to a “smell-o-vision” presentation by the Lost & Found Film Club, and get a feel for films projected onto fog by the Oddball Film Archives. Experiment with shadow puppets and early experiments in moving images, and help make a crowd-sourced film. With live performances by Kerry Laitala and the Overdub Club and a special presentation on cinema’s emotional influence by UC Berkeley professor Arthur Shimamura, this is a movie night not to be missed!
